A tragic vehicular accident on Friday evening has claimed the lives of two individuals and left two others injured in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The collision occurred at approximately 6 p.m. in the 8800 block of KY-185, prompting a swift response from law enforcement and emergency medical services.

According to reports from the Kentucky State Police (KSP), the incident involved a two-vehicle collision comprised of a 2007 orange Chevrolet Cobalt and a 2018 blue Toyota 4Runner. Preliminary investigations suggest that the operator of the Chevrolet Cobalt, identified as Pamela Hayes, 62, from Caneyville, lost control of her vehicle while traveling south on KY-185. This loss of control led to a collision with the northbound Toyota 4Runner, which was being driven by Elizabeth Kemp, 36, of Bowling Green.

Both Pamela Hayes and her passenger, Ronald Hayes, 60, also from Caneyville, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office. In contrast, Elizabeth Kemp and a juvenile passenger in her vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to Bowling Green Medical Center for treatment. Their injuries have been reported as non-life-threatening, although further updates on their conditions have not been disclosed.

Ongoing Investigation

The Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this deadly crash, collecting evidence and witness statements to determine the exact factors that contributed to the accident. As of now, no additional details regarding the investigation or the possible causes of the collision have been released to the public.
