In the top of the fifth inning, the Tourists regained the lead. Drew Vogel hit a single, followed by Trevor Austin hitting a two-run home run that put Asheville ahead 4-2. The game continued to tilt in favor of the Tourists in the seventh inning, where Tyler Whitaker hit a double, and Joseph Sullivan hit another two-run home run, bringing the score to 6-2.
Amilcar Chirinos entered in the bottom of the ninth inning, effectively closing out the game for Asheville.
Pitching Performance
Railin Perez earned the win for the Tourists, improving his record to 4-0 by recording one out on just four pitches. The loss went to T.J. Fondtain, who pitched one inning and allowed two runs on two hits. Furthermore, Juan Bello contributed to the victory by securing a hold after throwing four scoreless innings and striking out four batters.
