On April 23, 2025, six seniors from Bowling Green High School officially committed to playing collegiate sports during a signing ceremony held at the school. This significant event showcased the athletic accomplishments of these students as they prepare to transition to the next level in their sports careers.

Details of the Signings

The following athletes signed National Letters of Intent during the ceremony:

  • Mogie Bradley will be cheering at Western Kentucky University (WKU).
  • Adelyn Drane is set to play soccer at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee.
  • Trevor Huff will join the bowling team at Lindsey Wilson College.
  • Anthony Pointer signed to play football at Union College.
  • CJ Sweeney will play football at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
  • Henderson Wiggins has committed to play soccer at Lindsey Wilson College.

Highlighting Individual Achievements

Adelyn Drane had a standout senior soccer season, scoring 19 goals and providing nine assists, which contributed to her team winning a fourth consecutive region tournament title. With a focus now entirely on soccer, Drane is enthusiastic about this new chapter after being involved in cheerleading and cross-country during high school.

Following Drane, CJ Sweeney made considerable contributions to his football team, recording 29 catches for 513 yards, along with four touchdowns and a kickoff return for a touchdown during his senior season. Sweeney expressed appreciation for the welcoming atmosphere created by the coaching staff at Kentucky Wesleyan College.

Anthony Pointer played a pivotal role on his football team as well, contributing 33 tackles throughout the season, which helped Bowling Green secure a state championship victory. Pointer is eager to start his collegiate football journey and has acknowledged the supportive role played by his high school coaching staff.

Trevor Huff, who previously competed in the Junior Gold Championships, realized his potential for collegiate bowling through that experience. His signing marks a significant milestone in his bowling career.

Henderson Wiggins excelled as a goalkeeper, allowing merely five goals in 20 games and achieving 10 shutouts during the season, further highlighting his talent as he transitions to Lindsey Wilson College.

Community and School Support

The signing ceremony was attended by Bowling Green High School Principal Kyle McGraw, who addressed the crowd and acknowledged the achievements of these athletes. The event represents not just personal success for the students but also a proud moment for the Bowling Green High School community as it continues to nurture and celebrate the talents of its student-athletes.
