Nguyen graduated from WKU in 2024 with a degree in Chinese and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). She is the daughter of Hoa and Lam Nguyen and is a first-generation college student. Receiving the Fulbright grant marked a significant milestone for Nguyen, who described the achievement as a dream come true. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity, particularly as a first-generation low-income immigrant, and highlighted the importance of her educational journey in fostering her personal growth.
